1st, 2nd and 3rd should shift without grinding. IF they are grinding, try changing out to Redline fluids. Be careful of speedshifting 4th gear though as it is only a single cone syncronizer and it wont take the abuse. 5th gear is also a single cone syncro, so take it easy on her too. You shouldn't get any grindage from the first three gears though unless your syncros are shot (which is hard to do on them because they have double cone syncros). Try changing the fluid. And as for the launches, that's the hardest part. Learn it on some remote backroads. : My best run was a 11.621(1000'), which translates to 14.08 1/4 mile time. Not to impressed! What is the best method for getting these cars off the line? I bogged it down twice on accident and those ended up being my quicker times. Once I spun all the way down the track and it felt like the car was about to fall apart. I was racing my buddy that has a Mustang with naws and alot of other mods that time. He beat me pretty good! But on the way home we did some freeway runs and I spanked his arse every time, with ease I might add! Oh, I was also grinding every gear when I was racing, is this a common thing with these cars or do I just suck at shifting fast? All & all it was a fun night. Need some slicks or sumthin' though!
